Self Control™ FAQ

Why doesn't new data show up properly after I Copy and Paste it into my Control Panel?
This is the single most commonly asked question, and the answer is always the same. You can't have any carriage returns in a data record, or the database will read this as the end of the record. All data that follows it will be lost. Always check when you paste data to make sure that the cursor is exactly at the end of the text. If there's even one space following the text this could mean that a carriage return was accidently picked up when copying. Or if you copy more than a single paragraph you'll be pasting the carriage return that separates the paragraphs. Only the first paragraph will be displayed on the site and all subsequent data in that record will be lost.
